Udaipur
Udaipur is a town in the Indian state of Tripura. This city is famous for the Tripura Sundari temple. It is also the head - quarters of South Tripura district and is about 55 kilometers from Agartala. The city is situated on the banks of the river Gomti. It is often called as the city of lakes & palaces. The remains of a dilapidated palace on the northern banks of the river are the reminder that this small town was once the seat of the Manikya dynasty rulers. It is dotted with temples like the Tripura Sundari temple, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple was constructed by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Debbarma in the 15th century. There is a big lake beside the temple known as Kalyan Sagar. Bhubaneshwari Temple is also a famous temple.

By Air - Agartala is connected by airlines flights with Calcutta, Guwahati and Delhi. One can easily reach the Udaipur by road from Agartala. It is located at a distance of about 55 kilometers from Agartala
By Rail - The two nearest railway stations are Kumarghat and Dharama Nagar. One can take a bus or taxi from Udaipur to reach the station.
By Road - Good motor able roads connect Agartala with Neermahal and are 1 ½ hours drive. Neer Mahal is 40 kilometers from Udaipur. Udaipur is well connected by bus with the major cities of North East India. Tripura State Transport Corporation buses ply towards different places of North East. Local Transport – Private taxis, auto rickshaws and city bus service are available from Agartala Airport.
