Tezu
Tezu is the head quarter of Lohit district. This beautiful land of valley and rivers is the home of Singhpos, Khampti and Mishmi tribes. This tribe still has a King and Queens residing in the district headquarters of Tezu. The Mishmi tribes have a rich tradition and customs. Preferable time to visit this region is November to February. Parasuram Kund in January turns into a pilgrim center with a fair being held. Pilgrims believes that a holy dip in the kund will wash away their sins. It is one of the major pilgrimage sites of the state. Parashuram Kund is situated on the banks of the river, Lohit, 21 kilometers from Tezu. The place is also ideal for rafting and angling on the river Lohit. The Kund is the scene of a big gathering of visitors and pilgrims coming for a holy dip on Magh Purnima (full moon during January). Preferably the best time to visit this area is between November and February. There is a large lake called Glow Lake. Glow lake attracts many casual tourists. It is a holy bathing place for all devotees.

By Air – The nearest major airport from Tezu is at Dibrugarh. The state's airports are located at Daparjio, Ziro, Along, Tezu and Pasighat. However, owing to the rough terrain, these airports are mostly small and cannot handle many flights. Arunachal Pradesh helicopter service operates daily services between Guwahati and Naharlagun. Helicopter services have also been introduced now connecting places like Tawang, Ziro, Along, Daporijo, Pasighat, Roing, Anini, Tezu, and Khonsa.
By Rail – From Tezu the nearest railway station is at Tinsukia. Nearest railway station from Parasuram Kund is Tinsukia in Assam, nearly 150 kilometers. Harmuty railway station in Assam is 33 kilometers from Itanagar.
By Road – Parsuram Kund is 21 kilometers from Tezu. It is 615 kilometers from Guwahati. Nearest town is Tinsukia in Assam. Two major highway are the 336 kilometer National Highway 52, connects Jonai with Dirak. Another highway connects Tezpur in Assam with Tawang. All the places are connected to Assam. Each town has got its own bus station and daily bus services are available. Private vehicles are also available.
